Although the Armed Forces of Ukraine have evolved dramatically over years of conflict, the core of the various service branches remains a mix of conscripts and professional troops from both the regular armed forces, border guard units, and territorial defense forces.
With a bewildering array of small arms, individual gear, and other equipment in use by the AFU, the "average" soldier is difficult to define. However, for the purposes of #gamename, most AFU soldiers can be expected to be equipped with body armor. Although night vision and communication gear remain sporadically present at the lowest echelons, players can reasonably expect to field these capabilities without worrying about deviation from the statistics presented.

The RPG-7 and its variants are synonymous with chaos thanks to their constant presence in conflicts around the world. Cheap, semi-disposable, and requiring little training to use, the RPG is as deadly as it is ubiquitous in the armed forces of post-Soviet states.
RPG-7s and their variants are found across the Armed Forces of Ukraine, with many of the weapons being doled out as needed to assault units and other formations.
Although the RPG-7 is not a new design, its age is a direct result of its utility in both an anti-personnel and anti-armor role, with the predominance of its use adding to its overall lethality.

Many of the AFU's troops are now equipped with Western-style small arms and equipment, a reflection both of their allies' support and the force's transition away from a Soviet-style military.
